Hi! I'm Cujo.
Wanna see my toys?
Oh do I hear litter being poured? New litter! I have to keep an eye on the litter. Make sure I’m the first one in. See if there are any problems. Ahh, okay no problems here good. Oh look. Here is one of my toys? Have I showed you my toys? They are so much fun! Especially when the humans throw them for me. I try to get them in the air. I love all my toys. The yellow ones go really far when I hit them. They are small though and go really far under things. I know they are there and try to tell the Humans to get them out. There has to be like a million of them under things around here.
Oh hey, whats going on? Wanna see my home? Wanna see my toys? Is there something outside? My name is Cujo. Cujo! I don’t know what it means either, but the humans find it funny. My job is to keep an eye on things. There is so much going on here! It’s crazy all the time, and I don’t know what would happen without me. First there is Kahzee. Kahzee! She’s my sister, and so much fun! She loves wrestling and playing hide and seek.
And sometimes we groom each other. Kahzee is so pretty. She’s going to be a famous model. She already is. Have you seen the Dane County Humane Society calendar? She’s the cover girl. Cover girl! Ah! Big Trucks! Big Trucks. I have to keep an eye on the Big Trucks. Never know what they will do. Keep an eye on them. See what I mean? No one else even seems to notice the Big Trucks. Never know what they will do.
And I have to keep an eye on the doors. Make sure all the doors are open. A closed door is a problem. I have to let the Humans know immediately if the doors are closed. The bathroom door is closed. I don’t like that. The door is closed! Let me in! Let me in! I know something is going on in there. Oh okay, everything is fine now. The doors are open. I even have to sleep facing the doors in case something happens.
Oh, there’s Kahzee. I have to keep an eye on her too. I worry when I can’t see her. She sometimes disappears in the afternoon and it drives me nuts. I don’t see her leave, so I think she is in the house, but I can’t figure out where she is. I wish she would tell me.
